Chapter 13

Leon could not help himself but had to restrain his hands with great anger when the man named Jaques came and pulled Athena close and she willingly went into his arms. But something in her body language was amiss. It meant that they were not lovers yet, which meant that he had a chance. In the midst of his thoughts Liberty came and pulled him back. When he glared at her she said,”You can pursue her later if you feel like, now don’t create a scene in this place where almost everyone knows you. Go find some blonde for yourself.”

Leon sighed, his sister was right. And true to her word, she pointed out a shy blonde standing at the corner of the room paying attention to everyone but no one looked at her.

Leon winked at Liberty and strode forward towards the sweet shy girl.

“May I offer you a drink?” asked Leon as the girl gasped at his presence looming over her. She was so young and innocent, and seemed out of the place.

“Thanks but I don’t drink,” said the girl.

“So what is a beautiful girl like you doing alone in this party? It is a couples party I think!!” Leon prompted her.

“I am not a guest in the party, I work for Nomaden,” the girl said shyly.

“Wow!! That is great… My name is Leon and what should I call you?” he asked taking her hand for a kiss.

“My name is Stacia,” said the girl with a shy smile and Leon felt he would collapse then and there. He thought that the girl was looking familiar from somewhere but finding her in this party and that too in these circumstances and these clothes. This girl was a real stunner. But he could let the cat out of the bag now. If he had to make this girl trust her then he could not say anything at all.

“That is an unusual name really,” said Leon flashing his patent killer smile.

“You think so?” Stacia asked him with her eyes wide with surprise.

“Of course I do. Any man who tells you otherwise is a nincompoop and is not able to understand that how much talented individual you are who tries to hide behind her façade of shyness. But won’t work with me at all,” said Leon taking a sip of his champagne and Stacia giggled at him and blushed so innocently that Leon suspected her to be a virgin.

“I have not met someone like you before,” said Stacia blushing even darker shade of crimson.

“Oh I get that a lot Stacia. But let me tell you something, promise to have dinner with me tonight and I shall tell you stories all night and make you laugh,” said Leon touching her arm lightly dragging his fingers on them.

“Well I would love to spend all night with you. But I can’t, we have curfew at ten. I can have dinner with you though, if that is suitable for you,” said Stacia smiling sweetly at him.

“Of course it is.
